Scottish international asks for a move away from Molineux following club's relegation from the Premier League with the Black Cats a likely suitor after having two bids rejected
Wolves striker Steven Fletcher has handed in a transfer request amid reports linking him with a move to Sunderland, the player confirmed on Twitter.
The Scottish international's future had been in doubt following the club's relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.
Sunderland have had bids of £10 million and £11m rejected by the Midlands side recently according to chief executive Jez Moxey, with the Black Cats are reportedly having upped their bid to £12m to test the club's resolve.
The 25-year-old may now have forced their hand by handing in his request, which he decided to reveal public to make the supporters aware of the unfolding situation.
"Just handed in a transfer request just to let the fans know where I am at right now.... #headsgone" Fletcher posted on Twitter.
