No bids from Tottenham for Leandro Damiao, claim Internacional

The Brazilian side, currently sitting fifth in the Campeonato Brasileiro, are yet to receive any offers from the north London club for the much sought-after young striker
Internacional vice-president Luciano Davi has revealed that the Brazilian club have not received any offers for striker Leandro Damiao from Tottenham.

The 23-year-old has scored 70 goals in just 115 appearances during his time in Porto Alegre, and the likes of Spurs, PSG and Juventus have all been linked with his signature.

Damiao has also bagged four goals in four games for Brazil at the Olympic Games, and has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the past.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is looking to bolster a frontline which currently comprises of Jermain Defoe and the inexperienced Harry Kane, with a move for Emmanuel Adebayor now in doubt.

However, Davi has declared that the 2010 Copa Libertadores winners, who have recently sold playmaker Oscar to Chelsea, are yet to receive any correspondence from Tottenham with regards to Damiao.

"There has been no offer from Tottenham but there were offers that he didn't accept," he told Radio Gaucha.

"We are waiting for him to return before we decide what we are going to do. He is with Inter, but we are braced for any eventuality."

Damiao is expected to feature when Brazil take on South Korea in their Games semi-final at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
