Inter eye Gaston Ramirez & Alejandro Gomez as Lucas Moura saga continues - report

The Nerazzurri are keeping their options open should they fail to secure a move for the Sao Paulo youngster, with the Bologna and Catania players other possible solutions

Inter are monitoring the situations of Catania's Alejandro Gomez and Gaston Ramirez of Bologna as the club look for alternative solutions should they fail in their attempt to sign Lucas Moura from Sao Paulo, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri have set a deadline of August 16 for the Brazilian side to make their decision on whether they will allow the 19-year-old to join the San Siro club.

They face stiff competition from Manchester United - who have already had bids for the attacking-midfielder rejected - and with the price rising higher, the Milan club have thought it prudent to look at other possibilities.

Argentine forward Gomez has therefore come under consideration as a cheaper option who could be available for somewhere in the region of €6m, while defender Juan Jesus could become involved to sweeten the deal with the Rossazzurri.

Ramirez, meanwhile, is another highly-sought talent but a €20m price tag has so far deterred clubs, including Liverpool, from attempting to sign the Uruguayan.

Much of Inter's transfer activity remains on players leaving the club, yet one who may make a surprise stay, despite interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea, is Maicon.

With no club yet to meet the €8m asking price, it is reported that the Brazilian right-back could extend his contract but keep his overall wages constant, allowing the cost to be spread over a number of years.

Another player heavily linked with a move away is Giampaolo Pazzini. However, according to Corriere dello Sport, Inter are taking a hard line with potential suitors Juventus, making them aware that they will have to pay the full €10m asking price as they will not receive the striker on a loan.
