Ekigho Ehiosun joins Turkish side Genclerbirligi
The young Nigerian international has completed a move to Turkey, signing a three-year deal with Fuat Capa's side after enjoying a successful loan spell with Samsunspor last season
Warri Wolves striker Ekigho Ehiosun has signed a three-year contract with Turkish side Genclerbirligi, after spending last season on loan at fellow Super Lig outfit Samsunspor.Ehiosun scored nine goals in his debut season in Turkey but could do nothing as his loan-club were relegated to the TFF First League in May.
After his transfer was announced the 22-year-old displayed his appreciation to Genclerbirligi fans on his Twitter account on Saturday morning.
“A heart-filled appreciation to all supporters of Genclerbirligi SK, got your love! Thanks so much. Together we take our team to glory land,” Ehiosun wrote.
Ehiosun is following in the footsteps of compatriot Promise Isaac who played for the Ankara club between 2005 and 2008.
Genclerbirligi finished ninth in the Super Lig last season and will be hoping to improve on that finish in the upcoming campaign.
