The France international has been linked with a move to Newcastle throughout the summer, and has admitted that he wants to depart his current clubMathieu Debuchy has confirmed that he is eyeing a move away from Lille this summer amid reports of interest from Newcastle United.
The Frenchman has just one year left on his contract at Stadium Lille Metropole, and the Magpies have had a number of bids rejected as they look to snap up the player on the cheap.
However, the 27-year-old has now tried to force a move, and has criticised president Michel Seydoux and coach Rudi Garcia for their handling of the situation.
"My desire is to leave," he confrimed to L'Equipe. "I'm 100 per cent decided. I want to leave Lille. I've called [Seydoux] and left him a message. I'm waiting for him to call me back to clarify the situation.
"I don't understand it. One day, they tell me I can't leave because they haven't got a replacement for me. The next, it's because Newcastle's offer isn't enough.
"One day, it's the coach who's blocking me, the next, it's the president. I get the feeling that everyone isn't in agreement."
Debuchy has been on the books at Lille since 1993, and has made over 250 appearances for les Dogues since making his debut in 2003.
