Boca's Araujo closes on Barcelona B switch

The forward has already sought tips from Juan Roman Riquelme on how to adapt to life in Spain, as sources inside the Argentine club promise a swift resolution to the deal
Boca Juniors starlet Sergio Araujo has revealed his excitement at a potential move to Barcelona B for the 2012-13 season, as the Argentine club's vice-president confirms that the young talent is close to a one-year loan move to Catalunya.

Speaking on Tuesday evening to RAC 1, Juan Carlos Crespi explained that negotiations with the side coached by Eusebio Sacristan were close to being completed.

"[The deal] will be closed either today [Tuesday] or tomorrow," he confirmed.

The 20-year-old forward, who has represented Argentina at youth level, is keen to see an agreement so that he could begin in his new club.

"I am anxious for negotiations to be completed and to play in Barca," he asserted, also explaining that he has been listening to Boca team-mate Juan Roman Riquelme to find out what awaits him in the Spanish city.

"I have talked with Riquelme and he has given me some advice to adapt over there as soon as possible."

Araujo, who can play wide on the left as well as a traditional No.9, would cost around €8 million should Barcelona wish to make the move permanent.
