Fabio Borini completed his €13.5 million move from the Stadio Olimpico to Liverpool on Friday, and the Giallorossi have already earmarked the former Inter man as a potential replacement for the 21-year-old.
They have reportedly reached a deal with Genoa, who co-own the player, and sporting director Walter Sabatini is set to meet his agent Renzo Contratto later on Saturday to commence negotiations.
Destro scored 12 goals in Serie A for Siena last season, is also being courted by Juventus, Inter and AC Milan, who have see him as a potential replacement for PSG-bound Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Genoa are reported to be willing to pay €6 million for 100% of Destro's ownership rights, before sanctioning an immediate €12 million move to Zdenek Zeman's side soon after, with Siena also receiving a €4.7 million profit as a result.
