FC Twente striker Luuk De Jong expects to remain at the club next season, despite consistent speculation hinting otherwise.
The emerging star, who has 39 goals in 76 appearances for Steve McClaren’s side, has not ruled out a last-minute switch, however, as long as he feels comfortable with the move.
De Jong has been earmarked by Europe's elite as a top talent, but he told TC/Tubantia that no solid offers have yet been made for him.
"I have still heard nothing [and] I therefore assume that I [will] just stay at Twente," said the Oranje international.
"[Perhaps] something very attractive [will] come. Then I'll consider it."
The 21-year-old forward is currently battling it out with some big-name striking talent, in the form of Robin van Persie and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, for a starting spot at the European Championships in Poland and the Ukraine.
Although currently third in the pecking order behind the Arsenal and Schalke stars, De Jong says he is raring to go and benefiting from the experience.
"No matter how it turns out, this has been a wonderful experience. I train every day with top players. That makes me the better for it," he added.
De Jong has been heavily linked with a switch to the Bundesliga, particularly champions Borussia Dortmund and Champions League runners-up, Bayern Munich.
And reports suggest that the striker certainly would not baulk were German giants Bayern to come calling. Only last week, the forward stated that moving to the Allianz Arena would be a “dream” move.
"Bayern Munich are a fantastic club. It is my dream to one day play for them," De Jong told Bild.
