Internacional keen to bring back Nilmar
The striker stated he has no intention of playing in the Spanish second tier next season, and his former club have been immediately alerted to his admission
Internacional have expressed their intent to sign Nilmar after the wantaway forward confirmed he will leave Villarreal this summer following their relegation to the Segunda Division. The 27-year-old spoke with the Brazilian club's president Giovanni Luigi on the radio show Guaiba recently and joked that he would be willing to put pen to paper immediately for his former employers.
"Mr President, let's sign the contract now. I would still like to be in Europe, but in Brazil, Inter are the priority," revealed Nilmar.
"I will not stay at Villarreal, the president has already said they have to sell me because they have gone down to the second division."
Regarding a transfer, Luigi acknowledged the difficulties in securing a deal for the Selecao forward, but admitted capturing him would be a dream were it to go through.
"We will do everything to land the player, but we will do so responsibly," said the supremo.
"We are trying to find a way. Today you can say it's a dream to have Nilmar at Inter."
Nilmar hit double figures in each of his first two seasons since his arrival from Internacional in 2009, but only scored four goals in the league last term as the Yellow Submarine dropped out of the Primera Division.
