Agent: Ederson is a Lazio player
The Brazilian midfielder's representative announced on Tuesday that his client is set to sign for the Italian club and all that is missing is a signature

Ederson’s agent Antonio Caliendo has stated that his client will join Lazio from Olympique Lyonnais, and that a few details are still to be ironed out.
The Rome club are without a manager since Edy Reja resigned from the role on May 17, but the club's hierarchy have sanctioned the deal, according to the agent.
“Ederson is a Lazio player, now just the signature is missing,” Caliendo told Radio Mana Sport. “I have spoken with [president Claudio] Lotito and [technical director Igli] Tare and there are only some missing details that are secondary.
"What matters is the common desire to finalise the deal. Soon I will meet with Lazio and I hope that the signing of the contract will come as well.”
The Brazilian midfielder has been one of Lyon’s most consistent players since his 2008 move from Nice. Operating in an unfamiliar wide role, he has shown skill and guile, turning out to be a good replacement for Juninho Pernambucano.
His progress, though, was stifled by a serious hamstring injury suffered in 2010 which restricted his playing time across the past two league campaigns, but now it seems that he is ready to move to Lazio and put that behind him.
“His physical condition? Good, the injury is now completely over," Caliendo added.
Caliendo also revealed that Biancocelesti have tracked the player for a number of years.
“Five years ago, Lotito came to see me in my office in Monaco. The reason was that he wanted to purchase two players from Nice: Ederson and goalkeeper [Hugo] Lloris. The transfer was blocked by his [Ederson’s] father who wanted him to stay in France. So that’s how he ended up at Lyon.”
The agent quashed concerns about how Ederson will play alongside compatriot Hernanes at Lazio, stating that the two can complement each other.
"Ederson and Hernanes can co-exist because one does not exclude the other and contrary [to what some people say] they would form a great pair. The first is the modern number 10 that flips across the offensive front, the second is a more defensive number eight but with excellent attacking capabilities.”
The agent also offered his opinion on who should be the next Lazio coach after Reja, recommending a former Brazil coach for the job.
“Dunga would be the ideal solution. He has great experience and charisma, and gets the best out of the talents that he has at his disposal," he concluded.
