The Giallorossi want to extend the Denmark international's stay for another season before they decide whether to sign him on a permanent basisRoma are looking to secure an extension to Simon Kjaer's loan from Wolfsburg, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
The Denmark international moved to the Stadio Olimpico in the summer on a season-long loan, with the Giallorossi having the option to buy the defender outright at the end of the campaign.
However, Kjaer has failed to impress in his 14 Serie A appearances to date for Roma, who have refused to say whether they will exercise their buying option.
Italian sources now suggest that the capital club will contact Wolfsburg to secure the 23-year-old for one more season before they decide whether to sign the defender on a permanent basis.
Kjaer, who has 21 Denmark caps to his name, left Palermo for Wolfsburg in 2010.
