Egyptian Olympic team midfielder Omar Gaber says that he’s received an official offer from Dutch Eredevsie side Twente and that he hopes his club, Zamalek, accept so that he can remain in Europe this summer following the 2012 Olympics in London.
“I’ve received an offer from Twente. One of their scouts was watching me during our Costa Rica-based training camp,” said Gaber while speaking exclusively with Goal.com’s Egyptian edition.
“I have a strong desire to play abroad professionally and I want to follow in the footsteps of Egyptian stars like my club teammate Ahmed Hossam Mido and our Olympic team coach Hany Ramzy.”
Gaber will take part in three friendlies with the Egyptian national team in Costa Rica before heading to Uruguay where the junior Pharaohs will face the Celeste’s U23 team.
