The player's representative reveals that a bid for the Ivory Coast international was refused due to the Russian club's healthy financial situationCSKA Moscow's Seydou Doumbia has revealed that the Russian club rejected an offer from Napoli without even hearing the full value of the bid.
The 24-year-old's representative confirmed that the Ivorian was the subject of interest from the Serie A outfit last summer, only for the capital club to shun any advances for their star man.
"Last summer Napoli came in for Doumbia, but CSKA rejected the offer before the Italians even gave their price," agent Alessandro Beltrami told Sky Sport 24.
"They didn't feel the need to sell the player because they are awash with money anyway."
CSKA's title challenge has stumbled in recent weeks, but they can close the gap on Zenit St Petersburg to eight points when the two clash on Saturday.
