The 23-year-old centre-back has been strongly linked with football away from Brazil after establishing himself as one of the hottest properties in South America.
Juventus and Manchester United have both been credited with an interest in the Selecao international, who admitted earlier in the month to being flattered by such links.
However, the defender feels that the time is not right to embark on a new challenge, telling Lancenet: "I am not ready to leave.
"When I am, I will say. Right now, I have to enjoy what is happening to me at Vasco. It is too soon to leave.
"Brazilian football is making me grow, I feel ready to represent the Selecao in a good way without having to leave the country."
