The 23-year-old has failed to make a single appearance since joining the Blaugrana in 2009 and is now going back to his old club in an attempt to kickstart his career
The Brazilian moved to Camp Nou in 2009 in a €14 million deal but has never made a single appearance for the Blaugrana, having spent the last two-and-a-half years on loan at five different clubs.
Consequently, the La Liga giants have now decide to allow the 23-year-old, who is currently recovering from a knee injury, to spend the final two years of his contract with his former employers.
The exact details of the deal have not been disclosed but the player's agent, Marcos Malaquias, claimed that his client has agreed to take a drastic reduction in wages in order to push through the deal.
"Everything is settled," he told Gazeta do Povo. "Barcelona agreed to his loan this morning [Thursday] and Keirrison is very happy.
"He agreed to lower his salary; he gave up on a lucrative deal to return to Coritiba."
Keirrison scored 65 goals during his previous three-year spell at Coritiba between 2006 and 2009.
