Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Tunisian international winger Youssef Msakni during the summer transfer window and will send officials to negotiate with his current side, Esperance, next week to agree to terms.
"Arsenal? That would be a fantastic move for me. However, I am not aware of their interest. I am ready to make the next step. Going abroad will improve me and I want to fulfill my potential,” said Msakni while speaking to skysports.com.
Though his contract with the “Blood and Gold” doesn't expire until June 2013, that won’t stop the Gunners as well as Lille, PSG, and others from trying to pry him away from the African champions well before that date.
Despite his youth, the 21-year-old proved to be the Carthage Eagles’ most dangerous player at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), scoring two astounding solo goals and creating a plethora of opportunities for his teammates.
