Porto midfielder Fernando Belluschi is on the verge of completing a loan move to Genoa, the player's agent has claimed.

The Argentine midfielder will move to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris until the end of the season, with the Serie A side having the option to buy half of his playing rights, the percentage which Porto own, for €5 million in June.

"Porto have agreed to Genoa's offer," Alberto Meo told Record. "On Belluschi's part, everything in settled, too.

"The only thing left is that Genoa send the plane ticket for him to fly to Italy, which should happen on Monday or Tuesday."

Belluschi, who arrived at the Estadio do Dragao from Olympiakos in 2009, has made 26 appearances in all competitions so far this season.

The 28-year-old's departure will only increase the club's need for a new central midfielder, as Fredy Guarin is also expected to leave in January.

Porto are interested in Santos playmaker Ganso, but the Brazilian club have rejected the Europa League holders' first offer for the 22-year-old, labelling it 'comical'.
