Olympique Marseille sporting director Jose Anigo has confirmed that Porto have enquired about the availability of Lucho Gonzalez.

The Argentine midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Stade Velodrome side after being consigned to the role of bench-warmer under coach Didier Deschamps this season.

Porto, where Lucho played between 2005 and 2009, have been credited with an interest in the 31-year-old, and Anigo has now confirmed that Marseille have been contacted through an agent who works on behalf of the Portuguese champions.

"If they want Lucho, then they must call us," Anigo added, when quizzed by A BOLA.

It is understood that Porto regard Lucho as a replacement for Fredy Guarin, who has been associated with a move to Serie A sides Juventus and Inter.

The former River Plate midfielder, who cost Marseille €18 million, helped Porto to four Portuguese Liga titles and two Portuguese Cups, among other trophies.
