Roma are ready to complete the signing of Fluminense attacking midfielder Marquinho on Thursday, according to reports in Italy.
Italian news agency ANSA revealed the 25-year-old had landed in Rome at around 06:45CET after boarding a flight from Rio de Janeiro, and will now put pen to paper on a loan arrangement until the end of the season.
It is also believed that the Giallorossi will then have the opportunity of keeping him on a permanent basis in the summer, but details about a future transfer are currently unknown.
An attacking midfielder-cum-left wingback, Marquinho joined Fluminense from Figueirense in 2009 and has become an important player for the Brasileirao outfit, scoring nine times in 94 appearances.
Following up the reported capture of Marquinho, however, could be the signature of Chelsea full-back Bosingwa, who faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.
Roma are currently on the lookout for reinforcements in the wide positions, and a report in Calciomercato claims an assault on the Portugal international's services will be initiated in the summer.
