Real Madrid target Rodrigo is not considering leaving Benfica any time soon, the player's father has declared.

The 20-year-old left Madrid for Benfica in the summer of 2010 in a €6 million deal after finding himself unable to break into Los Blancos' senior ranks.

Rodrigo has been in impressive form this season, scoring 10 goals in 20 appearances, which has sparked speculation that Madrid are interested in re-signing the striker.

The Spain Under-21 international's father stated last month that a return to the Santiago Bernabeu was a possibility, but he has now guaranteed that his son is focused on Benfica.

"The right moment to handle that issue will be the end of the season," Adalberto Machado told TSF. "First, he needs to play one full season at Benfica, then in April/May we can talk.

"No offer whatsoever has arrived, but even if it did, we would have no interest in listening to it.

"On the other hand, I do not think Benfica have an interest in letting him leave and, on his part, there is not the slightest intention to leave the club."

Rodrigo, who has a running contract until 2015, has a €20 million release clause.
