Kaiserslautern have confirmed the signature Al Nassr's Algerian international centre-back Anthar Yahia, with the 29-year-old having signed a contract that expires in June 2015.

Marco Kurz's side currently occupy the relegation play-off, so they have moved for the 29-year-old, who has won 52 caps for his country.

Yahia has extensive experience of German football, having spent four years at Vfl Bochum, and Kurz was delighted to have brought in a player of such pedigree.

"Anthar Yahia will bring his experience of both the Bundesliga and international matches. He has a good character, and wants to help Kaiserslautern in the league," Kurz told the club's official website.

Kaiserslautern continue their bid for survival with a trip to Bavaria to face fellow strugglers Augsburg on January 28.
