Bolton move for Al-Nasr striker Ismael Bangoura – report
The Guinea international is reportedly the subject of a bid from the Trotters, who are looking to re-invest the reported £7 million received for defender Gary Cahill
Bolton hope to sign Guinea forward Ismael Bangoura from Al-Nasr, according to The Mirror. The newspaper claims the Trotters have agreed a deal with the United Arab Emirates based club for the 27-year-old, who is currently away at the African Cup of Nations.
Manager Owen Coyle is reported to be looking to acquire a work permit for the international, and will hope the attacker's side suffer an early exit from the tournament as Wanderers look to pull away from the relegation zone.
The quick, agile forward would bring variety to a side that has suffered in attack following last season’s departure of Johan Elmander and Daniel Sturridge.
Bangoura has maintained a consistent goal-scoring record in France with Le Mans and Rennes, and has played in the Champions League for Dynamo Kiev, reaching the UEFA Cup semi-final in 2009 with the Ukrainian side.
He signed for the Dubai-based Al-Nasr in 2010 from Rennes for a fee estimated at £6.5 million and has impressed, but the attacker is believed to be available for sale.
Coyle is keen to bolster his squad following Gary Cahill's £7m departure to Chelsea last week, with the former Burnley boss recently completing the signing of American defender Tim Ream.
