Barcelona B striker Jonathan Soriano is on the verge of joining Salzburg, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The 26-year-old is widely expected to leave the Catalan giants after failing to break into the first team since joining the club in 2009.
Benfica is reportedly Soriano's likeliest destination, with the striker claiming that talks with the Portuguese club are at an advanced stage.
However, Spanish sources claim that Soriano is close to joining the Austrian side in a deal worth €800,000 plus variables.
The former Espanyol man is expected in Austria on Thursday to undergo a routine medical and sign a contract which will reportedly tie him to the club until the summer of 2015.
