Inter are considering a move for Sevilla defender Martin Caceres as a replacement for Maicon, claims La Gazzetta dello Sport.

French sources claim that Maicon is the latest object of desire for well-funded Paris Saint-Germain, who will formalise a €15 million bid for the Brazil right-back before the end of the weekend.

Inter are believed to be preparing for life without the defender already and have set their sights on Caceres, who is widely expected to leave Sevilla in January.

The Uruguay international has been linked with Juventus, where he played on loan in 2009-10, but it is believed that if the Turin-based club sign Porto's Fredy Guarin, they will drop out of the race for the former Barcelona defender.

Caceres joined Sevilla on a permanent basis in the summer of 2011 for €3 million after a season on loan at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
