Corinthians are weighing up the merits of a bid for Flamengo attacker Ronaldinho, Globoesporte claims.

Ronaldinho has reportedly grown unsettled at Flamengo as he is currently owed over €1.5 million in unpaid wages, with the Rio de Janeiro-based club and Traffic, the company which pays a percentage of the 31-year-old's wages, having yet to come to an agreement to solve the impasse.

The former Barcelona star's brother,
Roberto de Assis, who acts as his agent, has claimed that he has received offers from Italian and Spanish clubs, but Brazilian sources claim that the player is determined to stay in his homeland.

And Corinthians, who, like Ronaldinho, are sponsored by Nike, are reportedly monitoring the player's situation very closely.

De Assis has given Flamengo a deadline of January 25 for Ronaldinho to be paid his due wages, otherwise the Brazil international will boycott the club's Copa Libertadores opener against Bolivian side
Real Potosi.

Ronaldinho joined his current club in January 2011 after a decade in Europe at Paris Saint-Germain, Barca and AC Milan, helping the Brazilian outfit to a fourth-placed finish in the Brasileirao last season.
