The Uruguayan defender's representative was non-committal when asked about the recent reports linking his client to the Blues and noted that anything could happen in the future
British sources have claimed in the last few days that Chelsea have reignited their interest in the Uruguay international after missing out on signing the defender in the summer.
The Premier League side were close to signing Pereira, but Porto's determination to get the full value of the 25-year-old's €30 million buy-out clause proved a major stumbling block.
"I have read the news about Chelsea's interest, but I am not going to say anything about it at the moment," Alejandro Savich told Maisfutebol.
"Alvaro Pereira recently renewed his contract until 2016, so he has a contract with Porto, but there is a release clause.
"We are going to have to wait a little bit, we will see what could happen in the future."
Pereira, who joined Porto from CFR Cluj in 2009, was keen on a reunion with Andre Villas-Boas at Chelsea, his agent claimed in the summer.
