Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund star Mario Gotze, Marca claims.
The 19-year-old sensation has established himself as one of the hottest prospects in Europe since breaking into Borussia Dortmund's senior ranks in 2009.
He played a leading role in the club's successful championship run last season and his efforts have seen him linked with the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
The Gunners went as far as to make an attempt to sign Gotze on the last day of the summer transfer window, but their efforts were immediately knocked back by the Bundesliga winners.
Reports in Spain suggest Madrid will be keeping a close check on the German international before deciding whether to make a move for the player.
Gotze could thus become the latest player to move to the Santiago Bernabeu from the Bundesliga, following Mesut Ozil, Hamit Altintop, Nuri Sahin and Sami Khedira as additions since Jose Mourinho took charge in the summer of 2010.
As of yet it remains unclear as to if and when Real Madrid may make a move for Gotze, whose agent excluisvely revealed to Goal.com in August that his client will remain in the Ruhr area for at least two years. Gotze's current contract is set to expire in 2014.
