The European duo have reportedly set their sights on the combative midfielder and could table an offer in the winter transfer window, although the player's agent claims otherwise
The former Spain Under-21 international has been an ever-present figure in Benfica's midfield area since completing a €7 million move from Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.
And his exploits have not gone unnoticed on the continent, with a host of clubs believed to be tracking the 24-year-old.
Now, fresh reports from Spain claim that both Manchester United and AC Milan are weighing up the merits of a January move for the former Osasuna man.
Quizzed on the stories, Javi Garcia's agent, Manuel Garcia Quillon, denied having knowledge of the duo's interest, telling Antena 1: "There is nothing. He is very happy at Benfica and he will stay at the club."
