Diego Forlan's agent has stated that there have been no negotiations between himself and Inter, and that he will not contact the Italian club until Samuel Eto'o's future is decided.
The Atletico Madrid forward has been linked with a move to Gian Piero Gasperini's side, but there has not been any progression on a transfer as of yet.
The Milanese outfit rely on the Cameroon international hitman for goals, but he is wanted by big-spending Anzhi Makhachkala and a move is in the pipeline, though but talks over a potential fee appear to have stalled.
Daniel Bolotnikoff, Forlan's agent, has stated that he will only contact the Serie A team once the African's fate is decided.
“As of today (Saturday), I have still not spoken to anyone from Inter,” he told fcinternews.it.
“I assume the Nerazzurri could make a step forward once they have sold Eto’o. I have learned with certainty that the Eto’o affair is at the moment frozen. If they don’t close that deal, then it’s very unlikely they’ll talk to Forlan," he concluded.
The 32-year-old starred in Uruguay's 2011 Copa America win, but may now be surplus to requirements at the Vicente Calderon following the Spanish capital city side's signing of Rademel Falcao.
