Now Pastorello thinks that the clubs will edge closer to finalising a deal in the next seven days.
"I believe that this week will be a decisive one between Villarreal and Juventus," Pastorello told Sky Sport Italia.
"The technical terms have been sorted, and now the economic details of the transfer are being analysed.
"I am optimistic, but transfers at this level can sometimes be a little complicated. The right economic offer which justifies Rossi's move to Juventus must be made."
Previous reports have claimed Juventus were offering €25 million for the transfer, but Villarreal are believed to be holding out for €30m.
