Saint-Etienne winger Dimitri Payet has turned down an offer from Paris Saint-Germain to join Lille, according to France Football.
The France international, who has also been linked with Liverpool, has a contract with Saint-Etienne until 2013, and is valued at around €12 million by his current club.
He has been tipped to take on a bigger challenge in the summer, with PSG and Lille both interested in granting that wish.
The capital club were thought to be leading the race for Payet due to their financial power, but it is believed the former Nantes player has rejected a switch to the Parc des Princes.
Reports in the country suggest that the prospect of playing in the Champions League alone was enough to tempt Payet to accept a move to the Ligue 1 champions. The midfielder's arrival at Lille would seemingly pave the way for Gervinho's exit, with the striker being heavily linked to Premier League giants Arsenal.
