Besiktas sporting manager Cenqiz Zulfikaroglu has revealed that Guti could leave at the end of the season after the former Spain international midfielder stated that a move to the USA may be on the cards.
The former Real Madrid star confirmed on Saturday through his official Twitter account that he has the option of signing a contract extension with the Turkish giants or make a move to the MLS with Los Angeles Galaxy and New York Red Bulls possible destinations.
"Los Angeles, New York or Istanbul will be my destination next year. I have decided nothing yet, but in a month everything will be decided," Guti tweeted on the social networking site.
With speculation over the 34-year-old's future increasing, Zulfikaroglu has moved to confirm that the midfielder could be leaving the Istanbul giants.
"If he [Guti] wants to go, then we can't stop him. We have offered a contract for him to stay in Istanbul. We have stopped negotiations with the player and other than that there has been no other development," the sporting manager told the Turkish media.
Guti has had a fairly successful campaign with the club this season, scoring seven goals in 18 league appearances. However, Besiktas have struggled despite investing heavily in their squad and currently sit in seventh place with European qualification slipping from their grasp.
