20-year-old Senegal forward will join modest Spanish Primera Division side at the end of the season but has no regret in not playing for Atletico anymore

Struggling Spanish club Osasuna have reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid for the signing of Ibrahima Balde on a three-year contract starting in the summer.

The Pamplona-based side made the announcement on Wednesday. The Senegalese striker is currently on loan at Segunda Division side Numancia and was scheduled to return to Atletico at the end of the season.

However, an agreement has been reached among the three parties and the 20-year-old will join Osasuna for the start of the 2011-12 campaign. Balde’s original contract with Atletico was slated to expire in 2013, but the forward has no regret in leaving the Madrid-based club.

“I am pleased to play for Osasuna next season,” said Balde, according to Goal.com Spain. “But for now I want to focus on Numancia and finish the season well.”

Balde made his debut for Atletico’s first team in 2010 but the signing of Diego Costa reduced his chances of cementing a place in the line-up, forcing him to move to Numancia for more opportunities on the field.
