Santos sensation has opened the door to a potential move to the Spanish giants, and reveals it would be an honour to be compared to the diminutive Argentinian attacker
The 19-year-old has previously expressed his desire to move abroad, even going as far as to say it would be a dream to play for Chelsea, before stating that he has no intention to leave Brazil.
The attacker's latest comments, however, indicate that the youngster still harbours thoughts of moving to Europe.
“I'd like to play alongside Messi,” he told El Mundo Deportivo.
“I think together we could form an excellent partnership.
“To be known as the Brazilian Messi would be terrific. I watch Barca whenever I can - they can win everything.”
Despite claiming his desire to one day partner the Argentine, he maintained that he will be staying focused on improving his own game.
He continued: “But will I be joining Barcelona? The future belongs to God. I'm going to keep working and training hard.”
