The Brazilian shot-stopper was the subject of a €3 million bid from Los Che during the winter market, but their advances were rejected and the 25-year-old remained in Andalucia.
The Champions League competitors are expected to return with an improved bid in the summer, but speaking to Superdeporte, Alves said that while he is pleased to be linked with the club, he must worry only about Almeria for the time being.
He stated: “It is a compliment to be spoke about this way, but for now I’m focused on Almeria. What I care about now is doing things right, but I just think of Almeria as my team.”
Valencia coach Unai Emery had taken in his side’s 1-0 defeat to Levante on Sunday, but when asked about the presence of the tactician, Alves added: “I do not know the truth of this, all I care about is winning games with Almeria this season and that’s why I’m happy."
