thumbnail Hello,

Marseille are lining up a move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba in the summer, according to the Daily Express.

The Blues forward, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires at the end of next season, was signed from the French side for £24 million in the summer of 2004 but has fond memories of his time at the club and would like to return one day.

Following Chelsea’s £50 million signing of Fernando Torres from Liverpool, it is thought that Marseille will make a move for the 33-year-old striker at the end of the season, though the Ivory Coast international's reported wages of £120,000-a-week could scupper any chances of a deal.

A Marseille source told the Daily Express: "Of course Marseille want Didier to come back, but the wages will be a big problem. It is something they have to work on."
