Marseille's hopes of signing Antoine Griezmann have taken a blow after the teenager winger indicated that he's happy with Real Sociedad.
OM have been strongly associated with a future move for the France Under-21 star, but Griezmann, who was born in Macon, believes that the Primera Division is more suited to his style of football.
“I like Marseille and yeah, it attracts me a lot,” he confessed to RMC. “OM makes me dream with their history and their supporters.
“But I'm really good at Real Sociedad. I play. For a 19-year-old, what is important is to have game-time.
“For now, I'm at Real Sociedad. I want to assert myself and become a major player here. The league is my style of play and is one of the best leagues in the world.”
Griezmann’s words are unlikely to stop Didier Deschamps’ club bidding in the future, though they do cloud the possibility of a move somewhat.
