Lazio are magnifying their interest in Bayern Munich stopper Diego Contento as they draw up a list of targets.
Il Corriere dello Sport claims Claudio Lotito has instructed his transfer chiefs to evaluate Contento, who has caught the eye in Germany.
The 20-year-old is admired and desired in Rome, so much so that Lazio made an initial approach with Bayern last month. However, Louis van Gaal is eager to keep his man, who is tied to the club until 2013.
Lotito is confident a €4 million bid could exact a concrete move, but he faces competition from Newcastle, who have also been linked.
Meanwhile, it seems any move for Miroslav Klose is unlikely as Lazio seem keen to hang onto Libor Kozak.
