Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is being urged to leave the club and return to Inter by Marco Materazzi after Spanish reports claimed he was at odds with the club.
On Wednesday AS.com reported tempers at the Bernabeu had become frayed after Madrid were accused of fillibustering when it came to Mourinho's transfer requests.
But captain Iker Casillas tried to bring closure to the reports and suggested there was no stalemate - insisting there were concessions from both sides over a will to continue.
However, Materazzi has stepped into the debate and is backing Mourinho to return.
"It would be nice if Leonardo and Mourinho could coach together," Materazzi told Itasportpress.it.
"I also think Mourinho could return one day."
Materazzi then said he is satisfied with the rate of progress after Inter beat Cesena 3-2 to climb further up the table.
"Seeing what happened on the pitch, we deserved to win," he added.
