Blackburn Rovers in hunt for Barcelona fringe player Victor Vazquez, according to reports from Spain.
The Lancashire outfit, who are operating under new owners, are looking to strengthen in the current transfer window, and have pinpointed the 23-year-old as the standard of player they want to bring to Ewood Park.
AS comments that Blackburn have made an enquiry as to the availability of Vazquez, who struck his first senior goal for the club earlier this season in the victory over Rubin Kazan at the Camp Nou.
A La Masia youth product, Vazquez is considering rejuvenating the career elsewhere after failing to truly make the grade with the Blaugrana, and may consider a move to English football.
It is not yet clear whether Blackburn are considering a loan offer or a full transfer, and coach Pep Guardiola is still considering whether he believes Vazquez has a future at the club.
