Valencia will make Zaragoza winger Angel Lafita their primary objective in the summer market, with the club already making moves to land the player at the end of the season, Goal.com Spain reports.
The 26-year-old has been a first team regular for Blanquillos during this campaign, and has been one of their better performers despite the club finding themselves at the foot of the Primera Division.
Los Che coach Unai Emery is an admirer of the 26-year-old, and has made a request to the club’s hierarchy to land the former Deportivo man, whose valuation may vary depending on whether the Aragon club manage to retain their top-flight status.
With financial problems also blighting them, Zaragoza may also be forced into a sale should the offer from the Mestalla prove to be sufficient.
Emery hopes to keep negotiations brief and secure Lafita as soon as possible, before other interested parties attempt to hijack their discussions.
