Manchester City's Roque Santa Cruz Won't Lose Hope Of Joining Lazio
Roque Santa Cruz is still keen on joining Lazio.
By Salvatore Landolina
Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz hopes Lazio will throw him a rope to help scale the transfer fence after what looked like a prospective move to the club fell through during the last transfer session.
Cruz is unwavering over his future and wants to push himself to Rome. He has declared his position with the hope Lazio make another move in January.
His comments come 24 hours after reports suggested it was Aquile coach Edy Reja who stinted.
However, the hitman wants to strike again and fulfill his ambition of playing in Serie A.
"I hoped to have gone to Rome as that was my dream, but in the end everything went up in smoke," he told the press, as reported by Lalaziosiamonoi.it.
"There is lots of talk about me moving to Italy, maybe it can happen next time. I don't know what Lazio's intentions are as I have received many offers, but I want Serie A. Italian football fascinates me."
