The midfielder had been seeking a loan move to a Premier League club, but the 19-year-old looks set for a short-term spell in the Championship.
Following Emmanuel Frimpong's knee injury which has ruled him out for the rest of the season, Arsene Wenger had delayed any potential deal.
But according to Talksport, the Arsenal manager is now set to allow the 19-year-old a move when the loan window opens next Tuesday after deciding he does have adequate cover in the middle of the park.
