Agent Of Francois Clerc Encourages Milan Interest Despite Nice Developments
Nice are about to sign Francois Clerc, but his agent has invited Milan to make a bid.
By Salvatore Landolina
Clerc has been a free agent since being released by Lyon at the end of last season.
And, while he has been training with Nice with the prospect of signing for them, his agent Frederic Guerra told Italian media that Milan could come in.
Though he did make it clear the Rossoneri had not sparked up talks, he left the door open nevertheless.
"No one has called me. At the moment we are in Nice and the player has had a medical. His knee is ok," Guerra told Calciomercato.it.
"He is ready to play. Nice allowed him to train to show them that he is ready. We could sign a contract on Tuesday.
"But if an offer arrives from a big club... We couldn't say no to a club like Milan. If no big club calls by Tuesday then we will sign with Nice."
