Liverpool defender Emiliano Insua has completed a season-long loan switch to Galatasaray with an option to buy.
The 21-year-old had been heavily linked with a move away from Anfield all summer. A clutch of clubs had been believed to have been interested in acquiring his services.
The Argentine had previously been on the brink of a move to Serie A outfit Fiorentina, but a failure to come to an understanding with the Florence-based club over wages saw the move fall through.
Confirmation of Insua's switch to Galatasaray came on the Turkish giants website. He will now look to add to the competition for places in Frank Rijkaard's squad.
