Juventus could have completed their defence by signing Serdar Tasci, but Stuttgart resisted their attempts.

The Bianconeri looked at the player, and there was also a reported interest from Arsenal. But when Juventus made their pitch, Stuttgart made it clear he wouldn't leave.

"He would have liked to have joined Juventus, but Stuttgart did not want to let him go. We will see what happens in the next transfer session," agent Maurizio Guadino told Il Corriere dello Sport.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia are claiming Juventus general director Giuseppe Marotta is dealing with Milan for Kakha Kaladze.

The deal would involve a swap between the teams with Fabio Grosso heading the otherway. Marotta was seen at Milan headquarters, where he is holding a meeting with Adriano Galliani over the deal.
