Cagliari Reject Roma Advances For Goalkeeper Federico Marchetti
Roma will have to look elsewhere for a goalkeeper after Cagliari rejected their offer for Federico Marchetti.
By Salvatore Landolina
Sky Sport Italia reports the Sardinian club have refused a last-dash offer from Rosella Sensi, who had hopes of landing the goalkeeper on loan with the option to buy him next year.
However, Cagliari have said no, despite Marchetti claiming he wanted to leave the club last month.
Roma are now ready to turn to former Livorno and Genoa goalkeeper Rubinho, who would replace Alexander Doni, linked with a move to West Ham after becoming unhappy at being third choice.
Meanwhile, Il Corriere dello Sport claims the Giallorossi have shipped Ahmed Barusso to Livorno.
