Il Corriere dello Sport claims that the Azzurri have reached an agreement with Benfica and that they will retain an option to the sign the Algerian on a permanent contract at the end of the 2010-11 season for €4.5 million.
The 26-year-old played for Portsmouth last season and has returned to Benfica for the new Liga Sagres campaign. However, Yebda's place in the team is not guaranteed as the Portuguese giants have other options in midfield.
Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri has lost Luca Cigarini to Sevilla this summer and is on the hunt for a replacement.
