Official: Standard Liege's Mohamed Sarr Completes His Move To Hercules
Seventh heaven for Hercules....
By Andrew McLean
Mohamed Sarr has officially been announced a Hercules player after his contract expired at former club Standard Liege. The 26-year-old Senegal international is the seventh arrival in Alicante, signing a three-year deal, as La Liga new boys Hercules look to exert themselves in the top tier of Spanish football.
Centre-back Sarr had previously been on the books of Milan but only made a handful of appearances. His experience at club level in Europe extends from his youth, where he started at Treviso, going on to play with the likes of Atalanta and Galatasaray.
Hercules have covered all areas of the pitch as they look to strengthen thier team, signing David Cortes, Christian Pulhac, midfielders Olivier Thomert, Abel Aguilar, Matias Fritzler and most recently striker Nelson Valdez.
Sarr will strike some fear into La Liga forwards, with a good physical build and understanding of the game, after making over 100 appearances for Standard Liege before joining the Spaniards.
