Tigers clinch midfielder for the season...

Hull City have managed to secure the services of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder John Bostock on a season-long loan deal.

The 18-year-old has made the temporary move to the KC Stadium shortly after agreeing a contract extension with Tottenham running up to 2013.

Bostock made his debut at White Hart Lane two years ago, in which he became Spurs’ youngest ever player to play with the first-team squad.

Since then he has been unable to keep his position in the starting line-up and has been seeking more minutes elsewhere.

Bostock spent a short spell on loan in League One with Brentford last season, impressing as he was handed a chance to play regular football.

The midfielder is sure to lift the spirits of the Championship side, who failed to stay in the Premier League last season and are looking for an instant return despite their financial troubles.
